Things I Plan to do Today

1. Work out. (that's going pretty well...I think I shall never take an extended break again! I forgot how sore I can get)
2. Study Italian (not going as well, methinks I need to study up on my English grammar a bit. For example, when Maestro says things like "past perfect", I hear faint sounds of rusty churning in my head.)
3. Finish a book my mother sent me. Its called "The Tale of Despereaux". I'm rather enjoying it - thanks, Mom.
4. Start reading Freakonomics.
5. Start writing my own story. (It all started at work the other day. My co-workers and patients were trading horrific pet-chicken and accidental death stories - I'll keep you posted.)
6. Vacuum my bed. (I've been reading about dust mites *shudder*)
7. Lastly, fight with all my soul not to go shoe shopping.

Think I can do all that in one day? I suppose we shall see.

Q & A

I won't bother giving you my excuses this time, let's just move forward, shall we?
Ok, here's some e-mail questions I've been saving up for a while....

Q: From a recent comment, " It could be me, but an occasional picture of those comfy feet in the shoe of the week would be pretty nice too."
A: I've actually had a lot of people ask me why I don't show my feet. Hey, it's weird enough that I pose my shoes around the house and snap photos of them. I'd actually have to involve some other poor soul in my madness. "Please, can you take pictures of my feet in these awesome shoes so I can post them on my blog?" Ok...ya talked me into it, I'll see what I can do. I have no shame.

Q: Have you given up on Body for Life?
A: No, not exactly. BFL is such a wonderful starting point. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to lose weight or get fit or build muscle or feel better. But like any fitness plan, you have to change things up so ya don't stagnate. I will continue to rely on the basics of BFL, but I doubt I'll do another regular BFL "challenge".

Q: What's your favorite shoe for cardio workouts?
A: I hate to say it, but I've been wearing the same pair of ill-fitting New Balance for a while. No tennis shoe is ever a great fit for me (I think it's because of my impressive width), but the New Balance seem to be the most comfortable.

Q: Who is P. McCready?
A: Your guess is as good as mine. Honest.

Q: How are your eyebrows?
A: I'm glad to report they are full and bushy!

Q: Why Italian?
A: I'm actually Jewish, German & French, so I dunno...it sounds puurty?

Italian frenzy

Well, this time, I have a really good excuse for not blogging as often as I should. I've been crazy busy almost everyday hanging out with my Italian teacher, taking lessons and absorbing all things Italian. I'm about to get even busier, I'm afraid...because as I got on a scale at work today and found I've gained 3 nasty unwanted pounds, I'm going to have to force myself to get serious about working out again. It's seems that it took 3 months of Body for Life to get me a killer bod, and another 3-4 months of being a lazy slob to revert (not completely) to pre-killer bod days. SO, we shall see, no? I promise I have a really good Q&A feature coming soon! I'm out to prove that today's modern gal can work a tough 8 hr day, learn a new language, acquire rock-hard abs AND maintain a steady blog!!
